Built-in Wi-Fi Settings
At the Wi-Fi Settings page of the LTE Manager, you can change the following
settings of the LTE system's built-in Wi-Fi:
- Built-in Wi-Fi: Set to
"Off" if you want to disable the built-in Wi-Fi. You might
do this if you're using your own wireless router.
- SSID (Wi-Fi Network Name):
Assign a unique name to the LTE system's Wi-Fi network. Mobile devices
will identify the network by this name.
- Security Mode: Select
"WPA2-PSK" to secure the Wi-Fi network. Select "Open"
only if you want anyone within range of the Wi-Fi to have uncontrolled
access to your network.
- Password: If you selected
WPA2-PSK security, enter a password that is 8-20 characters in length.
Users will need to enter this password to connect a device to the
Wi-Fi network.
IMPORTANT!
Failure to apply a security mode and unique password will make your vessel’s
wireless network vulnerable to outside intrusion.
Be sure to save your changes.
Note: The default network name
and password are provided on a label in the Quick Start Guide and inside
the antenna dome.
